This quiet and unspoilt region offers many culinary delights and the local Gaillac wine must not be missed. The countryside is spectacular and the following places are all well worth a visit. We can assure you that you will not be bored or disappointed with this spectacular area of south western France.

Labastide de Lévis
This is our village, which boasts the 16th century Eglise Saint-Blaise, the Pigeonnier de Pradinas, a remarkable example constructed in 1777, and La Cave de Labastide de Levis; offering the opportunity to taste the fine wines derived from over 1500 hectares of vineyards.    Labastide de Levis
Gaillac
Gaillac is a charming, peaceful town and the capital of the wine region. The Abbey of St. Michael, which towers above the Tarn is a must and a visit to the market on Friday provides a fascinating diversion. Sometimes there are night markets in the summer months. Albi
Albi is now a World Heritage Site. Ajacent to the magnificent 13th century cathedral is the tourist office, where detailed information is available. Each Saturday there is a wonderful market and a fascinating flea market. There are numerous good cafes and restaurants and the shops are well worth a browse. In addition to the Toulouse Lautrec Museum there is a river boat tour and 'Le Petit Train'.    Albi
Castelnau de Lévis
This is boasts 13th century fortified village, castle ruins and a watch tower, 50 metres tall, overlooking the Albi plain. There is a superb restaurant called La Taverne, or experience one of the most delicious pizzas you have ever had at Chez Caramel. Castelnau de Lévis
Millau Viaduct
If you can spare the time to drive to Millau, a visit to the visitors’ centre to see the viaduct is a must. Millau Viaduct
Cordes sur Ciel
Cordes sur Ciel is definitely a must to visit. It is a true delight, perched 110 metres above the valley of the Cerou and rightfully designated one of the most beautiful villages in France. Good cafes, restaurants and art and craft shops abound. The views are magnificent. Cordes sur Ciel
St Antonin Noble Val
The drive to this town is well worth it. The views and countryside are magnificent and you can go one way and come back another. The old part of the town is unbelievable and steeped in history. There is a superb market every Sunday.

The Forest of Gresigne
The Forest of Gresigne is never-ending and there are some lovely walks of varying distance. It is flanked by Puycelsi, yet another very attractive bastide on top of a hill.

Puycelsi is a beautiful hill-top bastide and one of the prettiest villages in France. Walk around and explore this wonderfully historic village and enjoy lunch at one of their restaurants.

Castelnau de Montmiral
This 13th century fortified village, on top of a hill, has a covered square and is spectaculer. This is just one of the many hill-top bastides in the area.
